The definitive guide on how to install Vista 32/64 on Nvidia

I searched far and wide on how to do this and I finally found a way that really works. I've tried several times as above and keep getting a failed installation. Ive tried these combos: x64 with nvidia 6.69 beta drivers x64 with Mei's nv_ide_667 package x64 with nviida previous beta driver (forgot #) x86 with nvidia 6.69 beta druvers x86 with nvidias previous drivers (6.66 I think)
usually after installation I get the BSOD. The nvidia drivers usually just errored at start, even for safe mode. The MEI drivers did get me closest to success as vista would start but crash soon after.

I finally did it! What a bear. I followed the guide except I used the xp64 on the SiI 3114 as the host to install to the nVraid. I had to load up the MEI 6.67 nVraid as well as the latest SiI 3114 driver. I had to disable driver signing enforcement for all reboots and take out the second GPU. I updated the nVraid controller driver to nVidia latest Beta to keep from constantly having to 'F8' the reboots. It's possible that nVidias driver may have worked from the start. Surprisingly the SiI raid10 works fine to. As I prefer the raid10 to the raid0 I may try this again for the SiI. -- Asus A8N SLI Deluxe BIOS 1014 Athlon 64 3000 nForce 4 Maxtor DiamondMax10 4x for Sil 3114 Hitachi sata II 4x for nVraid 1 GB Corsair XMS 4400 nvidia 6800 2x

Works for RAID also, I used my thumbdrive to install the drivers. -- AMD-FX-60 2gb OCZ Plat. memory ATI 1800 AIW 2x74gb Raptors in RAID-0 2x400gb WD HDD in RAID-1 Epox Nvidia-4 Ultra M/B

I'm glad it worked for you, but I tried it twice and couldn't get it work. I followed that guide word for word and it just didn't work.
After I got it installed on a single SATA drive I had one RAID controller without a driver, it was the Sil3132. Now I'm wondering if that was what was holding me up...even though Sil3132 is disabled in BIOS...hmmmm.
Anyway until they get the detection situation worked out I'll leave the RAID alone.
